A note from our Recruiter: On Sept 26th, I fell in my home and broke my hip. This one small misstep resulted in emergency surgery and a 47 day hospital stay as I relearned to walk in the rehab unit. This enormous challenge offered an important reminder of what patients experience during the care process and strengthened my already great respect for Nurses, CNAs / PCTs, Therapists & Social Workers. Additionally, it showed me the depth of caring and patience my employer has for me, not only as a employee, but as a human being. The President, VP, my boss and coworkers all checked in on me regularly, never pressuring me to return, only encouraging me to take my time and heal. Even now they are allowing me to ease back into things as I still have a lot of healing to do.This experience also hit home the huge value of our employer-paid long term and short term disability plans. Because of this, I was able to focus on recovery without financial worries as a distraction.I am not only the Recruiter at Care IV, but I am now a home health patient too, receiving Physical Therapy in my home twice per week from one of our amazing Therapy Team members. To see the benefits of home health live and in person is so gratifying. I know I am in the best hands possible.
