SPoC Success

2016 has been a year of exciting changes and developments at Care IV, none more exciting than our efforts to move to a paperless charting system. We partnered with Sandata Technologies to bring the latest healthcare charting technology to Care IV, i.e. SPoC (Sandata Point of Care Device). SPoC has allowed us to move to a system using iPad’s for patient charting. This is a huge deal and, eventually, will make our Nurses’ and field staff’s work life much simpler. Working smarter, not harder is the name of the game.

To make this tough process a little more fun, we decided to play off of the “SPoC” name and create a Star Trek theme (ala Spock). We created some fun, funny t-shirts to give to our entire staff. Spock, in cardboard cutout form, can be found lurking around our 4 branches. Below are some pictures of the Sandata team, including Debi, Denise, Annie and even Tom, their CEO, being good sports by dressing up in their Star Trek attire for a visit to our Corporate Branch.

We also want to give a big shout out to Steven, our VP & General Manager, Paula our Quality Director, and Thomas, our Network Administrator, for putting in a lot of long hours and sitting through countless meetings and training sessions to make this happen. We couldn’t have done it without them!
